A suspension clamp is a kind of power line hardware used to hang or support conductors, which mainly bear vertical loads. It hangs wires and lightning protection wires on insulators or hangs lightning protection wires on poles and towers and is used for overhead power lines or substations. Suspension clamps are made of galvanized steel and have enough tensile strength to support the weight of the conductor in the perfect position. The pre-stranded suspension clamp uses a hyperbolic drum-shaped vibration-absorbing pad to wrap the conductor at the suspension point. It has the characteristics of a large holding force, a small electric corona, a light weight, and a small magnetic loss.
