Natural latex
It is discharged from rubber tree (see natural rubber). The solid content is 30% ~ 40%. The average particle size of rubber is 1.06 m.Fresh natural latex contains 27% ~ 41.3% (quality) of rubber component, 44% ~ 70% of water, 0.2% ~ 4.5% of protein, 2% ~ 5% of natural resin, 0.36% ~ 4.2% of sugar, and 0.4% of ash.Ammonia and other stabilizers are often added to prevent natural latex from solidifying due to the action of microorganisms and enzymes.In order to facilitate transportation and processing, natural latex centrifugation or evaporation and other methods, concentrated to a solid content of more than 60%, known as concentrated latex.Natural latex is mainly used for sponge products, extruded products and impregnated products.
Synthetic latex
Generally, the synthetic latex (such as polybutadiene latex, butadiene latex, etc.) with a solid content of 20% ~ 30% can be prepared by emulsion polymerization.In order to make the solid content up to 40% ~ 70%, firstly, the rubber particles are agglomerated into larger particles, that is, in the industry, the main measures are adjusting the polymerization formula, adding the polymerizer, stirring, pressurizing, freezing and so on, and then the concentration method is similar to that of natural latex.Synthetic latex is mainly used in carpet, papermaking, textile, printing, coating and adhesive industry.
Synthetic latex
